My first attempt at making a grunge style piece.

Woo! Critique time. So, I like this. A lot.
But, on to pickiness.
I like the balance of it. White space is important, especially when certain parts of a composition are going to be cluttered, as they usually are in grunge-style pieces. The little music notes make a nice transition between the clutter and the white space.
I wish the texture of the background was played up a bit more. Make it stronger, and more crinkled, and showing through in the vector brushes. It would add to the grunge effect, without overdoing it, I think. The texture is just too subtle for me.
Now, the picture is bothering me a little. Did you apply some sort of filter to it? I'm not against a filter effect here, but it looks kind of low-res, which takes away from the quality of what is actually a very good piece.
